Stress is part of life, especially for us big city workers. Thus, pampering ourselves in day spas are quite like a necessity. Off course, there is this price, comes in term of money and time, which makes us unable to come back to spas often. Thus, how do we create this relaxing spa ambiance in our own homes, especially in our bathrooms? Look no more. Discover the secrets below.
1. Always keep your bathroom clean. This is the most essential part. There is no way we can meet that relaxing atmosphere once we found dirty laundry pokes from curtain hanger, or worst, acts as the curtain itself. Or, when cosmetics and medicines supply literally scattered all over.

2. Paint your bathroom in calming color. Now, this is tricky as color can be very subjective. For example, I prefer my bathroom painted stone black while my mom loves all bathrooms blue. But, there is this rule that you have to pick one main color you like and give a shot of other colors as accents.
3. Divide your bathroom in wet and dry areas and separate them with water-proof partition. Western bathroom might find this separated model common but their friends in Asian part of the world usually prefer traditional ones, which mean all parts of bathrooms are wet parts. The dry areas will come handy when you need to apply a traditional Javanese/Balinese scrubs made from herbs and dried roots which take half an hour to work on skin.
4. Place a bowl of potpourri or oil burner. Bi-weekly, the potpourri needs two or three drops of essential oil to allow the scent vaporize the room. In some cases, you might need to place oil burner or scented candles. Just make sure that all the essential oils and candles used are made from high quality natural ingredients. It will be expensive but it's worth it.
5. Buy spa quality, big, fluffy towels and store them in piles the cupboards. It is suggested to invest some times to find the towels during store sale to save some money a bit as they can be quite pricey.
6. Hang robes made of satin, silk, cotton or towel materials. Keep some matching sandals to go with them. You can use those after your home spa session to prolong the comfortable feelings.
7. At least, have three airtight, glass jars. One is for quality massage oil or bath bombs, one for body scrubs and the other for body wash. If possible, buy all from the same fragrance range. Use them lavishly.
8. If there is extra fund, place a speaker as an extension of your sound system. Thus, you can hear healing music while pampering yourselves.
